Difference between SPIDI motorcycle rainjacket VS normal PVC raincoat

SPIDI was founded in 1977 in Montebello Vicentino Italy with passion and tradition for producing top quality riding jackets for motorcyclists.

SPIDI motorcycle rainjacket material is made of nonstick polyester OXFORD material which is slightly non-breathable yet 100% waterproof.

It feels a bit warm immediately after you put on, which is a good sign that show that it is non-porous even for air to flow freely.

It is interesting to note that for the first time in rainjacket manufacturing, SPIDI top suit and trouser are completely made of different material.

SPIDI rainjacket top suit are made of polyester that are easy to slip over textile or even leather trousers, thanks to the newly developed non-stick PVC-free coating on the inside.

Why normal PVC motorcycle raincoat will leak

Normal cheap raincoat are PVC coated, it will start to leak after wearing for a short period of time is because once the coating wear off, water will start to seep through.

Especially at trouser crotch area where it is the most important. Issues such as water seepage into your crotch area are most common problems encountered.

Most of PVC raincoat even branded raincoats has water seepage issues. Due to poor workmanship stitching and lousy heat-on sealing that comes off, it will result in leakage of water into your pants.
